Borneo’s First Luxury Tented Resort

Located above the serene town of Tambunan, Borneo Kiim is the first of its kind in Malaysia.

 

The 25-tent resort provides en-suite family friendly accommodation 1000m up in the Bornean Highlands without sacrificing luxury or comfort.

Be at one with sky and water, floating peacefully on the infinity Swimming Pool, one of the highest in Borneo.

Children will also enjoy the Adventure Playground (soon to be completed) and a variety of all-weather games and activities.

Our Restaurant provides breakfast, lunch and dinner menus.

 

At the a Sunset Bar, you can sip on a cool drink while taking in the magical colours of a Sabah sunset, then gaze up at the stars late into the night.

The Resort also has a covered Pavilion suitable for Weddings and Functions of up to 100 people.

Tents

Borneo Kiim Gate

Each safari-style tent, known as a "Kiim" in the Dusun dialect, is set in it’s own gated garden complete with an en-suite bathroom and a sun terrace with stunning views.

All tents come with 2 beds- either double Super King (6.5 feet) or double Super Queen (5.5 feet). An extra camp bed with pillow and linen suitable for a large child can also be added to a Kiim.

A number of Kiims include individual plunge pools, creating your own luxurious oasis of privacy in the mountains.

Our resort is just a 90-minute drive from Kota Kinabalu, it is easy to access by private car.

Leave Kota Kinabalu on Jalan Penampang Tambunan (Route 500), following the signposts to Tambunan / Keningau for 70 km.

At the “Halia” (Ginger) roundabout take the 2nd exit on to Jalan Keningau – Tambunan, heading towards Keningau, follow this road for 7.5 km into Tambunan.

At the Sompoton roundabout next to the Tamu in Tambunan, take the 1st exit on to Jalan Kaingaran, follow this road for 5 km

towards the Trus Madi National Park.

Turn right at the signpost for the TrusMadi Forest Reserve and Sinurambi Tambunan (Tambunan viewing platform), follow this road for 800m.

 

Then take the 1st right, following the signs for the Sinruambi Tambunan viewing platform and continue on the gravel trail up the hill for 3 km until you reach the resort.

Borneo Kiim has accomodation units which are wheel chair accessible. The attached bathrooms are also designed for easy wheel chair access.
